DONATIONS
To all our Friends, Parents and Supporters:

Sunset Youth Orchestra is a non-profit organization. We believe that playing music in ensembles stimulates healthy development in children. It teaches children to work with others, to develop their ability to concentrate, and it instills discipline, while enriching them musical and cultural lives. We are committed to providing this experience for the children of San Francisco in an accessible and affordable program.

As school music programs shrink and disappear each year, the Sunset Youth Orchestra fills this educational gap and provides a vital component in the life of our community. In weekly rehearsals, students work with SYO founder and director Tatiana Ganenko and our two teachers, both of whom are professional musicians, over the year we prepare for two annual concerts. In an effort to inspire our students we invite professional guest artists from the Bay Area to perform with us.

Our student body is as diverse as the wonderful city we live in. They come from public and private schools and represent the different ethnic backgrounds of the population. We are very pleased to introduce our children to the vast and wonderful world of music, and we make it our priority to share our music with everyone through the orchestra’s Community Outreach Program.

Our needs as a growing organization are great and we are now actively seeking donations and contributions that would support us to continue our work with the children. We would like to develop our program by adding a chamber music class, music theory classes, and a summer camp. The orchestra is in search of a bigger rehearsal space and supplies such as instruments, scores, music sheets and music stands.

If you can make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated.

We are a 501 (c) (3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible. Our Non-Profit ID number is #73-1650146
